The problem is simple: when I go into my in box in mail, VO turns off. I am writing this message while in another mailbox. other than my in box and, obviously, VO is working fine. In the past hour i have been in contacts, Numbers and Safari and VO works fine. But when I go into my in box, VO switches off. Switching to another program does not turn VO back on; I have to shut down and reboot. At that point the only way to get VO to work is to use command f5., which is what leads me to believe that while in the in box VO is turning off rather than just not talking.
