Chris, I think you’re about right. Depends on the device as well, easily
$100 for the iPad and easily worth the money. Like I said I’ve seen a life
proof save a brand new iPad when it flew through the air and crashed on my
carbon fiber deck which should have smashed the glass.
The belt clip is also sold separately for approximately $30. Expensive but
to my mind worth the money.

Join the club, those phones are super expensive lol. If I remember
correctly, the life proof cases are too.
Aren’t they about $100 or something along those lines?

didn't say a shower, I said a full fledged bath? My friend did this, and
though his phone was absolutely just fine afterward, even after he
knocked it off the ledge of the tub face down into the water
accidentally. I dunno though. I'd be a little hesitant to go that far
with it.

Dona, I’m with you, the bulk just isn’t worth it. I’m a life proof man
myself. Much m ore sleek and actually waterproof.
Taking the case apart though is quite easy, if you need step by step let
me know.
