Ok. That has worked for me but I may have had to use VO up or down in some areas, can't recall just where.

      Not so fast. I had the same issue when I booted up this morning. I did 
another cold boot and will do a couple more later just to make sure.
Its driving me mad. (smiles) A new Mac in my future?

        10.11.3 was giving me some problems so when 10.11.4 was released, I 
decided to do a clean install with it. Even before I have reinstalled anything, 
that is not working out so well especially with Voiceover and either wired or 
Bluetooth headsets. When I try to view items in Finder, audio is routed to 
system speaker. Anyone seen this?

        Thinking about trying 10.11.3 again.
