Hi, While I don't wish to minimize your concerns David, the iPhone and Apple in general is known for stepping out and taking chances with change. The iMac was introduced with no floppy disk, we got by and soon floppy drives were old news. Pretty well every Mac for years hasn't had a VGA ou for external displays, we need an adaptor, and it doesn't appear that it's that huge of a problem. Many complain that iPads don't have USB connectivity, doesn't seem to bother most of us. Apple and other venders will make sure that things will work if the headphone jack is actually eliminated. I'm not sure how, but some smart engineer or innovative individual will make it work. Voicing concern is good, so that our challenges aren't neglected, but, I'm not positive that the elimination of the headphone jack is even a 100% sure thing. Making strong noise about what may happen is not particularly productive in my opinion.
