Hi Mary,
I am sorry if you feel I am speaking in any way unfavorably to MR. Korn's dedication. I am not, since how he personally feels about accessibility is less important than his ability to insure fully that Amazon's website complies with standards. As for Kindle progress, I will defer to your experience as I have never examined a kindle and am not likely to any time soon. still, was not it you that suggested Peter would not be involved with nuts and bolts progress since he is senior management?

Well, if you look at what they have done with their Kindle devices in the last
year or year and a half, plus how they have made the Alexa Apple whole lot more
usable, I would say they're moving in the right direction. They are also moving
in the right direction with their screen reader on the Kindle fire, which is
also preliminarily available on the fire TV. Given where Amazon was just a
couple or three years ago, I think they're making good strides. I do certainly
hope that the website sees some serious excess ability improvement. But I don't
think it is fair to call into question Peter's commitment to excess ability. He
has decades in the field and is clearly committed.

Hi Mary,
Peter Korn's official title is archetype. In a way that at least suggests that
he deals directly with the development and implementation of access standards
in Amazon products. Far more so than say if he was a VP of management.
It is not a question of his focus upon what looks good. It is a question of
what insures access for individuals with various disability experiences.
I know he is talented, i still use outspoken for my pro tools machine. But how
his desires translate into functionality for Amazon remains a mystery given
what I found last night.

Honestly that depends on Mr. Korn's personal background.
Sometimes management leads with their own experience of a disability,
instead of recognizing that inclusion refers to the floor not the person
using  the floor.
One does not find a different Walmart for those arriving in a van then say
those on a skateboard, so one should not have a different amazon for those
who prefer less clutter when they shop.
Sometimes, as with say paypal, the person listed as being in charge of
accessibility seemingly gets paid to pretend a disability with a demo.
I have an email from an amazon supervisor stating that the company takes
inclusion seriously. given it is far easier for them to be sued in some
countries where they do business over access than stateside, I intend believing
they sincere until I learn otherwise.
applying a generalized expectation sometimes leads to poor results or so I
personally feel.

based on the fact that they are upper management. So, sure. Right to Peter
