Hi,

I just have Chrome set to update itself.  So, it simply does it in the 
background and you don't even notice it.  Chrome does the updates while the 
browser is open, so there's no need to restart the browser or anything of the 
sort.  Updates to ChromeVox are also done on the fly.  Occasionally, the style 
of update to ChromeVox requires you to accept something, so it will remain 
disabled until that is accepted.  In those cases, I just use VO to do what 
needs done in Chrome to re-enable ChromeVox.
