The iMac pro is to replace the Mac Pro as they weren't doing as well as they
expected tehm to.

The iMac pro is better setup with a screen to replace the Mac pro range.
With the same spec standards.

Chuck
They didn't announce a New Mac Pro, but they did announce a new Version of the
iMac called iMac pro which will be coming out in December. They say this iMac
pro will be the most powerful Mac ever, it will come with up to a 18 Core
processor,128 GB RAM and 4 TB internal flash storage. Depending on the needs
you have in your studio, this machine should work for you. I think it will suit
90% of professionals, those who doesn't need A machine which can take
additional PCI card's like the ProTools HDX cards.

Personally I doubt Apple will ever release a new version of the Mac pro again,
I think this iMac pro is their answer for professional users and as I said it
will suit the needs of most.
