Tim, just to back up what you’re saying, you could also pull the direct lat and 
long data from the GPS and plot it on a real map if you had to.  The GPS data 
can be grabbed and translated in to both time and lat / Lon position pretty 
easily which is what Google maps in your example was doing.  Google was just 
doing the plotting directly in their app instead of using the old pen and paper 
method.

The thing is no matter the support you provide though you’re going to get 
Gilland because Todor is Chris Gilland a well known troll for over a decade 
now.  He gets tossed off lists and reappears under different names.  He was 
tossed off this list for example so reappeared on the Android eyes-free list 
where he uses the Gilland name and has a few others he uses until he wares out 
his welcome and then gets bounced to the next list.  So you could have the lead 
engineer on the GPS working group support your position and it wouldn’t matter 
because this is a trouble making effort, not a genuine set of questions.
