NO, it would not be worth re-installing the OS. It is fairly easy to turn off 
File Vault, but by default when getting a new Macintosh with any of the latest 
3 OS's one of the set up prompts is for File Vault and it is on by default.

Fairly easy to skip past when all excited about getting a faster machine.
