Not only can you use FaceTime on the Mac to do FaceTime conversations to other 
Apple devices, you can also use FaceTime in most cases to do regular phone 
calls through your iPhone. The first time you launch FaceTime, on your Mac will 
ask if you want to set this up. It is called something like Wi-Fi calling.
