I agree with Tim. My snarky comment aside, I'm afraid this just isn't
going to happen. In the view of many, the headphone jack is a step
backward, not forward. While there are things like Bluetooth
transmitters that you could pair that can be hooked in to something
with a 3.5 MM jack, it requires the purchase of more stuff. Though the
sound quality of the Homepod is great from what I can tell, the
absence of a headphone jack was one of the things that turned me off
to it. Further, as already mentioned, there is no direct support for
other music streaming services which are available through other
devices on the market such as the Echo, Sonos, and Google platforms.
yes, you can certainly Airplay your iPhone using spotify or whatever
other music you have on your iPhone, but you cannot, for example, ask
Siri to play something specific from Spotify and have it be
successful. If you are an Apple Music subscriber and want something
with fantastic sound and do not mind using Airplay, though, the
HomePod certainly seems to fit that bill well. I'm also sure it will
improve when updates are released to include stereo sound and
multi-room support. I also will not be getting one, as it doesn't fit
my use case.

Just my thoughts,
Scott
