Really! I have had two accounts on my MacOS X systems one regular and one admin since before there was VoiceOver available. Certainly when I did my upgrades my standard account stayed standard and my admin account stayed admin. In Sierra and Earlier it was impossible to finish an install unless one of the accounts was an admin account. I don’t believe one can install any programs in /Applications unless you have an admin account. Well, perhaps Simon will have an idea for you so just hang in there and wait for the sun to rise on NZ.
