I believe for most macs, they must be 2011 or later, the only exception is the mac pro from 2010. Looks like I will be upgrading my macbook and one of my mac minis later this year. I'm thinking of getting the macbook air since I don't need the retina display and I don't want the touch bar, give me the regular function keys!
