Yes, my thoughts exactly. Taking it in to a real Apple store isn't
outside the realm of possibility, but it's a great big 21.5" iMac, and
since it's going on four-and-a-half years old, the shipping packaging is
long gone. I'll give Apple a call in the a.m. and start trying to set
something up to diagnose this problem. I can certainly start with one of
the reports that gets generated when it happens, a copy of which I saved
recently. If anyone wants to have a look at it, help yourself.
