Hi.

I use Uber quite frequently, mostly through the BlindSquare app. Since I live
in a metropolitan area, there are frequently instances where lots of cars go
by, and the driver, not knowing that I can’t see him/her, just sits there,
waiting for a passenger to get in to the car.

Is there a way, or perhaps a template that, as soon as my ride has been
confirmed, to tell the driver that I can be recognized by my white cane?
Calling the driver as soon as the ride is confirmed doesn’t work, since some of
them speak neither German nor English.

I am wondering if others have this problem and if so, how they address the
issue. Would I be better off using the native Uber app instead of BlindSquare?

With best regards,

Mike
