Yes the point is taken and I've been doing that however there's no question that Apple Scripts can certainly enhance the recording of Skype calls ad I ask you to reference the examples given earlier this week by other list members, just to summaries here, an Apple Script can start Audio Hijack recording when a new Skype session starts and stop it so I would hope that you mention this most worthwhile hint, the text of a simple script to do this was even emailed to this list and you don't need to be a rocket scientist to understand how it all works.
