Thanks on both counts. Any draw back to locking down those keys, or using
quicknav? does it impact your using anything else say on the web
Oh and one more so I need not start another thread. adjusting the speech
rate?

The VO keys are on the left side of the keyboard, and can be locked down with
VO semicolon and unlocked by toggling that keystroke. This is because the
right option key is used as the modifier to trigger keyboard commander
shortcuts. also, if you're just cursoring around a lot, you can turn on
quicknav by pressing both left and right arrows simultaneously; this lets the
arrows work as VO navigation so you don't have to hold down those two keys
which, I admit, is a drag in the bag.
