Hi! I assume this preferences file you're talking about is for fixing the
com.apple.doc.extra problem. If so, I'm not sure it
would help. I had a tech from Apple help me reset my preferences over the
phone, but the second I organized my doc the way I
wanted it again, the problem came back. Now, if you're talking about a way to
fix midi playback on the other hand, I'm very
interested. For now, though, I am just using snow leopard. For my limited
skills and needs, it just seems to work better.

that is a prefference file. You might want to have VO rewrite those files,
just a thought. If you would like me to send you
an email explaining how to do that, I can. You will have to reset your
prefferences in VO, as your settings will be lost.

well, I just installed this lion update on my external drive, and it doesn't
seem to resolve any of the issues I was
experiencing with lion. The com.apple.doc.extra thing is still there, and if
possible, midi playback sounds even worse than
it did with the original release of lion. I'll definitely be sticking with snow
leopard for the forseeable future, but will
continue to install lion updates onto my external drive so I'll be able to test
it periodically and see if anything has been
fixed.
Thanks for letting us know the update was released, and here's to hoping that
the next update actually has noticeable
improvements.

My guess is that all fixes are not listed. Don't give up and retest any issues
you have seen.
