Les,

I successfully use VO with Safari and Blackboard all of the time.  It is a good 
idea to change the settings to "Text only," or "Plain text," I'm not sure how 
it words it.  It will be under "Personalization" or something like that.  I 
just graduated this May and am starting another program this fall, so I don't 
have an active Blackboard account to look at at the moment.

I do hope this helps, however.

Please note that Safari has never given me any problems.
