Hi all: Well, I know Clark Howard doesn't like extended warranties, but, today, I just got my Mac Mini back from the repair center.
My 320GB hard-drive crashed--making the click of death, a few days ago. I had purchased an AppleCare warranty for my Mac and they felt the repair would be covered. So, I brought it to the local repair facility with my certificate in hand. They took a look, and, I got a call from their tech saying the hard-drive had crashed (which I already knew), and they were ordering another one. I got a call a couple days later, letting me know the machine was fixed. Initially, they wanted my discs to reinstall software, but, they found out they had a copy of Mountain Lion (which I purchased anyway) so they installed that. Not only had they reinstalled Mountain Lion, but, the new hard-drive I received was a 500GB hard-drive. And, all at no charge. Guess they don't ship as many 320GB drives anymore. I'm not complaining. Here's hoping I get even more use out of this one. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
