Well, I've just installed and run ClamXAV.  Very accessible and extremely fast. 
 Frankly, it's such a good little but extremely thorough antivirus app that I 
do believe that when I can, I shall make a small donation to the dev.  It's not 
mandatory-but, I'm sure it's appreciated when possible.  Like I said, quite 
accessible.  The only two buttons which are not lalabled have help tags to 
assist in that, so, that's not a big deal at all.  Most everything can be 
controled from the tool bar.  One strange thing is that, unlike most Mac aps, 
you don't get in to the prefs window using command+comma:  rather, you do this 
via the tool bar.  Quite a nice little package and very well put together I 
must say.
