Hi Mike,

The following link, accessed only from your iPhone or iPod Touch, will
take you to the most current version of the iPhone User Guide:
http://help.apple.com/iPhone
This is the regular link to the iPhone User Guide that appears under
your Safari Bookmarks when you get a new iPhone. When you reach this
page with VoiceOver turned on, you'll hear a message, "VoiceOver users
double tap here…" with a link. Double tapping on that link will take
you to the accessible HTML version of the iPhone User Guide for your
language. This HTML version can be accessed from any web browser.
For english, the accessible HTML version of the iPhone User Guide (for
iOS version 6) may be found at:
http://help.apple.com/iphone/6/en.lproj/index.html
For German this would be:
http://help.apple.com/iphone/6/de.lproj/index.html

Once in the accessible HTML version, you can navigate directly to the
link for "Accessibility" or the section for "VoiceOver" under that
section and separately bookmark those pages, with the option to save
this to your home screen for easy access (double tap the "Utility"
button at the bottom of the iPhone screen, then double tap the "Add to
Home Screen" button).

If you need to find the exact address for other language versions of
the iPhone User Guide in accessible HTML format, use the first link I
listed from your iPhone. Then, before, double tapping the link
announced for VoiceOver users, navigate to the "Change Language"
button at the bottom of the page. (Note: you may have to get there by
using a two finger flick read all gesture, since focus doesn't always
move correctly to this button if you flick.) Double tapping the new
language selection from the list will take you to the version of the
regular iPhone User Guide in your newly selected language without your
having to change the default language for your iPhone under Settings.
Then, you can double tap the link for VoiceOver users at the start of
the User Guide to get the accessible HTML version of the guide in
another language.

Alternatively, I've posted the links to a number of these guides,
including HTML links to older iOS versions of the iPhone, iPod Touch,
and iPad user guides, as comments at the AppleVis site:
• Easy access to the iOS Manual
http://www.applevis.com/guides/easy-access-ios-manual

That page also gives links to the iBooks ePub versions of the iOS user
guides. The one for the iPhone in iOS 6 for the U.S. Store may be
found at:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/book/iphone-user-guide-for-ios-6/id563272542?mt=11

If that link doesn't work for you, change the "us" following the
"apple.com/" to your appropriate two letter country code, or just
search for "iPhone User Guide" under iBooks.

HTH. Cheers,

Esther
