Hey Mark, not sure if this has been tried or not but I'll v entire an idea. Try 
and do a warm reboot if you will, hit the screen lock key six times in rapid 
succession. This restarts the iPhone and should bring voiceover back to what it 
is supposed to do. I have had that happen a few times but this seems to clear 
it up without a problem. If anybody else wants to chime in, or if I've got this 
wrong let me know but this is what I'd do. Thanks and hope this helps. Take
