Hi, I think the easiest way is to Either turn of the broadcast function of the cable modem/router or, put your extreme into bridge mode. This is actually what I did since Verizon FIos forces these combo modem/routers on you. If you decide to use your extreme in bridge mode, you can do this buy selecting the network tab in Airport utilities on your Mac or the IOS app and from Router Mode: select off-bridge mode.
