Hi Teresa, With five lines in preview and the preview pane disabled, is that in classic view or standard view? I just upgraded to Mountain lion, and stuck with classic view, but I also have conversations enabled. I never hear it say how many messages are in a thread or even that there is a thread. I suppose that's because I'm still in classic view. I have to go over to where the triangle is that can be expanded and then I see the rest of the messages. But I've always used VO J in classic view. So I'm just trying to figure things out. Mary
