Hi.

I have turned on file sharing on both computers, one is called Fancy Fancy,
the other is Choo Choo. The folders in each show as shared folders, but I
still cannot access the other Macs. For some reason, when I try to access
Choo Choo and do a get info is shows up listed as a PC. It does show the
locked button is dim and unchecked, but I cannot get to any file lists in
the shared folders. Any further suggestions much appreciated.

Hi,

On your second Mini, make sure that File Sharing service is turned on. In
the Sharing pane of System Prefs, check the box for File Sharing in the
Services Table. Likely, your Mini is broadcasting that it exists but if you
haven't enabled the File Sharing service, then connecting to it is
difficult.

Later.

Hi.

I can see my second Mini on the shift-command-k network menu, but I cannot
access it. I tried highlighting the computer name and pressing command-o,
left clicking, right clicking, pressing enter and doubletapping my
trackpad. Anyone with suggestions, thanks much.
