I can sort of compare the brailliant to the focus. I've never actually seen a focus display, but I can definitely tell you that the Brailliant is much quieter - the focus uses the same sells as the PAC mate display, which is very noisy. The build quality is also better - aluminium body VS plastic, it's also thinner. As far as using it with Apple devices, I have no problems with it, not on OS X, not on iOS, or Windows. What it doesn't haves a joystick though, nor any whiz wheels. As far as screen reader support, OS X and iOS is plug and play. On Windows, JAWS already installs the focus drivers, so that's something you won't have to do. For the brailliant you will need to install them yourself, which just envollves running an EXE file. That having been said, I really suggest you don't buy JAWS. The new versions are really breaking features and FS is sadly not fixing bugs. For office productivity you can use a combination of NVDA and Window-eyes, which is now free for users of Office 2010 or newer. Both of them rely far more on the com interface of office rather than screen scraping which translates to a more stable experience and the fact that reading is way more accurate And of course, both support both the brailliant and focus.
