I'm using whatever Debian Etch x86 installed, which from what I can tell
is:
version 0.svnr1500.20060412-1
I added this to my apt/sources.list
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian experimental main contrib non-free[[br]]
deb-src http://ftp.debian.org/debian experimental main contrib non-free
and pulled the packages from there (although I just noticed that they have
moved, so I'm going to try to pull the packages from the new location--
over ethernet--and see if things improve.)
