Comment:

 While waiting for an answer from the SuSE guys, telling us why they think
 that this might be a bug in MadWifi: it would be interesting to learn if
 the association is lost from time to time, which indeed could cause
 problems for the NFS stuff. To proof this, you could either ping the NFS
 server while the transfer is running, or (even better because it's more
 reliable) enable association-related debug messages as explained on
 [wiki:DevDocs/AthDebug].

 Please let us know about the results.
