Sorry for the late reply...
I've tried to capture a (successful) association of another box on air
using the following commands:
{{{
modprobe ath_pci autocreate=none
wlanconfig ath0 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode monitor
# doesn't work: iwconfig ath0 mode monitor channel 6
iwconfig ath0 channel 6
iwpriv ath0 mode 2
ifconfig ath0 up
}}}
... but unfortunately tcpdump doesn't show any packets while associating
with the other box.
It looks like the commands ...
{{{
iwconfig ath0 channel 6
iwpriv ath0 mode 2
}}}
... don't have any effect, iwconfig shows that the card is still scanning
all channels.
Any hints?
