Comment (by [EMAIL PROTECTED]):

I have experienced the same thing when booting SuSE Linux 10.1 64-bit on a
Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook E8110. While booting, this (a very similar)
message is repeated so many times by the driver that it affects the
 booting process.

modprobe ath_hal and modprobe ath_pci ath_debug=1 yields no error
 messages.

lspci yields "05:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc.
Unknown device 001c (rev 01)". I'm using the currently available drivers
 from madwifi.org/suse/.

uname -a yields "Linux MyLifebook 2.6.16.21-0.25-smp #1 SMP Tue Sep 19
 07:26:15 UTC 2006 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux"
