Hello There, I am using convert command to scale down a high resolution image. Resolutions unit of source image file can be PixelsPerInch or PixelsPerCentimeter.
I want to generate a thumbnail image with 128x128 dimension and resolution 72x72. To do this, I am using following command: convert -density 72x72 -units PixelsPerInch -resize 128x128 SourceFilewithPPCUnits.tif OutputFile.Jpg This command ignores the UNITS options and outputs an image with size 128x96 and resolution 182x182 DPI, which is exactly equal to 72inches * 2.54 centimeter per inch = 182. I get the same result when I give the "-units PixelsPerCentimeter". Please let me know if this is the right usage of the option. And, there is any other way to do the same operation. Thanks, Davinder _______________________________________________ Magick-users mailing list [email protected] http://studio.imagemagick.org/mailman/listinfo/magick-users
