 Why should you? I don't think it's Mandrake's fault, the problem is that
the RPMs are not portable between different distributions but,
unfortunately, this is not detected when you install them - but only when
the app installed bombs out :-(

 Not that I know of - except running gdd with stdout redirected to a file.
