 The problem is that M has a *lot* of options (in case you didn't notice it
yet :-) and I'm afraid that not all configurations are equally stable
simply because I don't have resources to test them all (and nobody does).
The configuration which I use is definitely very stable, it never crashes
on me (well, except immediately after some not yet debugged changes, of
course). In fact, by definition, it will always be the most stable one as
all the bugs found in it are going to be fixed immediately for obvious
reasons.

 I think the problems you encounter are due to using the dialup support - I
haven't tested it in ages and, apparently, there are some bugs in folder
closing logic when it is used.

 So all I can suggest is to:

1. build Mahogany --with-modules=static
2. disable the dialup support

 If it still crashes then, please let me know.
