 Yes, it will be - and there even is a bug report about this, see the bug

 Well, this highlights a small difference between speaking about doign
something and actually doing it :-) First, the URL is "mailto", not "mail"
but this is just nit-picking. Second, it can have more complicated form, in
particular "mailto:foo@bar?subject=nothing%20at%20all"; are quite useful and
common so we need to add an URL parser to Mahogany to implement this. This
is not very difficult but not completely trivial neither and I'd like to
reuse an existing one instead of reinventing the wheel. So far I haven't
yet found any sufficiently small and simple.

 As a consolation, you may paste a mailto URL into the composer address
window and it will remove "mailto:"; automatically.
