Yes, I'd like to have something like this. Idealy we'd have support for
the virtual folders:

then we could simply have one called "Search results" and open it after

You manually go to each of the messages. Terribly user-friendly, I know.

It's not very easy because not all folders support custom flags. What we
really need is the support for arbitrary message metadata I keep speaking
about.
So this is definitely something which must be improved but I have some
doubts that it can happen very soon.
