To really start a new thread, you must remove the 'References:' and
'In-Reply-To:' headers from your message. Unfortunately, there is no way
to do that in M.

Note also that if you change the subject, then your message may be
displayed as the root of a new thread, but this depends on the
recipient's MUA and/or configuration (Mahogany gives you the choice).
