In fact, after thinking a bit more about this, I realize that this idea really can't work -- starting new thread is orthogonal to all the existing reply commands (i.e. you can start a new thread and reply to sender, or all, or mailing list) and so we'd have to add 3 new commands which is unacceptable. It's not its final form, it was just convenient during testing and I definitely don't want to leave it like this -- but I don't know what will replace it. The only problem is that we can't have this menu in the viewer itself (unless we have a popup menu which appears when clicking on the viewer bar) so we probably need a new "View" menu in the menubar and "Filters" submenu there. More I think about this, more I like this: it is simple, everything can be done from the keyboard (even if a bit slowly) and we could have a popup menu with the same items in addition to it.
