- M crashes systematically after I quit the first time.
Well, it isn't supposed to behave like this... Which platform do you use it on and which version of it do you have?
CVS snapshot from last week, on Linux.
I don't know. Could you please run the program under gdb ("gdb M") and when it crashes do "bt" and send us the output?
I'll try to do that today.
Try "M --safe" if you have a sufficiently recent version, this will prevent it from doing anything on startup.
Well, it works with --safe. I even managed to read some messages. Then I exited, restarted without --safe and it crashed. I'll try running on a debugger later.
Yes: "Edit|Preferences", "Compose" page, 2nd option from top.
Thanks.
Do I need to write a plugin for that?& Specifically, I want to include an automatic message in my replies if a the To field is a specific address and the Delivered-To heading contains a specific string.
I'm afraid you'd need to write an external program to do this.
That's what I thought.
M uses your mailcap/mime.types files, but doesn't (yet...) provide a way to edit them. You can edit them with any other application (e.g. netscape).
Ok, I guess I can make a copy of the GNOME defaults then.
Thanks for the answers,
L
