Thank you for this. The signing functionality seems to work. Mutt (and
Mahogany itself) recognizes signed message by Mahogany correctly.

However there is an issue that Mahogany asks for passphrase _during_
composing the message (autosave?). I would expect that it asks after
clicking 'Send Message' button.

I have some suggestions to UI. It seems to me a bit confusing to see
an empty textbox next to 'Sign Message as' checkbox. It tempts me to
fill my user name there even if I don't have to. Or it looks like I'm
going to sign the message as 'nobody'. I think the best would be to
put the 'Sign Message' toggle button to toolbar instead of checkbox at
bottom (which also takes lot of space at the bottom of composer
window). The 'as' textbox can be removed at all -- ability to set it
in preferences should be enough.
