People often assume that our laws apply abroad, but that’s a false
expectation. No one can expect foreign governments/companies to
respect what is customary in our own country.

People often forget that what is permitted in one country may be
illegal or unexpected in another, and vice versa.

Especially today’s USA government shows, that anyone can be
killed/kidnapped, even outside USA territory, simply because they don’t
meet that government’s expectations...
