No, Mailplane's L/⌘L feature is not identical to Gmails new labeling
feature. Mailplane supports substring matching; Gmail does not.
Considering that I prefix all my labels with different characters to
denote projects, contexts, actions, etc, I would really like to see
the Mailplane's labeling come back. In my opinion, substring matching
or flex matching is almost always superior to prefix matching.

In summary, Gmail's new labeling feature has crippled my Mailplane
workflow. I would really like to see the Mailplane way of labeling
return.
