One problem I've had with Mailplane throughout a number of recent releases is that I'll be writing a message and Mailplane will somehow get stuck on saving, such that I'll get the Still Working badge. When that happens, it might come back on its own, but since I'm certain there's no reason for to wait (it's not like this stuff has any excuse for taking time), I'll just copy what I wrote, quit Mailplane, and come back in. That fixes the problem every time.
But it's still pretty annoying to have to quit and reload. This probably happens three or four times a day, in constant usage. Sometimes it will get stuck on other operations as well, such as loading a label, but that's less common. Any idea what might be going on here?
