I'm having a similar problem. Just installed Mailplane for the first time, used the beta because I want to use offline mode.
When I followed the installation instructions, first problem was that Google told me this browser wasn't supported. So I clicked on the Safari link to download the Safari plugin and installed it (v0.5.29.0). After restarting Mailplane, I clicked on the Offline link and said that this website may use Google Gears. Directly after that a windows showed up that this site had no permission to use Google Gears. I looked into the Google Gears settings, and there was https://mail.google.com, being allowed to use Google Gears. What I tried: * Deleting https://mail.google.com from the list of allowed websites and retrying after a restart of Mailplane * Disallow https://mail.google.com * Updating to Safari 4.0.2 (was 4.0.1 before) * Redownloading and installing Google Gears with Safari 4.0.2 * Setting up Google Gears for GMail in Safari (doesn't work in Safari, either) * Setting GMail language to English All to no avail, I'm always told that this website is not allowed to use Google Gears. System: OS X 10.5.7 on a PowerPC iMac System Language: German (might that be the problem? Google Gears menus are half English half German) Any hints?
