I was mistaken, I am still at least partially knocked offline by this problem. I can receive new emails, but I can't send emails (compose or reply), and messages aren't marked as unread.
When I read an email, it goes back to being marked as unread. I read it, go back to my inbox and it shows as unread, but when I click on the inbox link (or wait until Mailplane refreshes on its own), the email goes back to unread. I need to restart Mailplane and then read the email again to get it to stick as unread.
