No worries on replying to older threads!  :)

I'm not 100% sure if it would make a difference if the tab isn't active.
(Though I don't think having notifications disabled would make a
difference)  We do recommend disabling Chat & Google Plus where ever you
can afford to while we work on the issue.

You can also try to enter the below code, though if you have 2 factor login
enabled, you will have to log in again upon signing off.


1) Block Google Plus where possible (Preferences… > Accounts > Advanced)
2) Mailplane 3 > Reset Mailplane
3) Close Mailplane
4) Open Terminal.app
5) Enter defaults write:  com.mailplaneapp.Mailplane3
UseSharedHTTPCookieStorage -bool true
6) Open Mailplane again
