Paul,

Let me understand this...you decide to criticize a group of scholar's
participating in a conference who you do not know, and whose scholarship you
have not read, and then when presented with the facts, and called to defend
your critique of said scholars, you become sarcastic and belittling......seems
utterly pointless and a waste of energy...I apologize to the list for having
taken anything you say seriously and attempting to explain our choices and our
reasons for giving new scholars a forum for expression.

The map does not reproduce an unconscious closed in upon itself; it constructs
the unconscious.

Dear Hister John

Thanks for the glowing words to my address. Were these verbs expressed by an
ordinary colleague I probably would have protested, but as they are spoken by
the infallible genius of the field, these lustrous words are just a treat for
my narrow, mediocre and powerless soul.

I do admit that it only was my petty and deplorable mind that dared to pose
questions on the highly scholarly layout of the forum organized by you, as the
whole scientific community agrees that all your brainchilds and their
unparalleled intellectual twists are beyond all doubt.

So therefore, once again, accept my humble apologies to you, the Omnipotence of
the list and uncontested king of the scholarly field.

In all humility
