Joel,

Thank you greatly for finding this. I did not stumble onto it myself because
BnF expanded “&” into “et”. Certainly it is the same map and probably from the
same plate, but from a different publication as can be discerned from the
diverging volume/page number inscriptions. In the copy I have, the the volume
and page number are inscribed inside the inner ruling of the neatline. In the
copy at BnF, that inscription lies between the outer rulings of the neatline
and the innermost.

As noted in my original inquiry, the volume/page inscription on my copy is Tom
XI, p. 121. This matches the second copy at BnF, given here:

http://catalogue.bnf.fr/servlet/biblio?idNoeud=1&ID=40701725&SN1=0&SN2=0&host=catalogue

(No image provided.) It seems likely then that my map comes form the same
publication as this second copy, which the library notes to be based on the
memoirs of Edmund Gibson. What publication that might be is not obvious to me.

Both BnF copies are dated by the catalogue to be after 1713, which says little
of use.

Altea Galleries, stating c. 1735, “The Hague: Durand & Dupard” and attributed
to Paul de Rapin-Thoyras, as mine was. However, it comes from a different
publication than mine, as is apparent from the placement of the volume/page
number.

Fair Winds Maps, giving no firm date (1770s) or publisher (Anon):

From Barry Ruderman, a derivative on a different plate but same details,
attributed to I.A. Schanaebel/George Bickham (1750s):

Please, does anyone curate a collection that houses this map in situ?

Best regards,
