A thing we did for a similar situation was the following:
1) Get a printer driver for your plotter, install it and set to print to file.
2) In MapInfo, set the plotter as your printer, set up your layout and print to a
file.
3)Hope you have a way to carry large files aroung (zip drive, CD cutter,
network) because now you have to get your printer file to the computer that runs
the plotter.
4)In MS DOS prompt, write: copy MyPrinterFile LPT1 (or whatever the printer port
is). You may have to try a couple of ways, it has been a while I may have forgotten
exact syntax.
5)Presto!
