Robert, as many suggested install the other priner to
your computer and print to file.
Transfer the print file to the other computer and
use the following MS-DOS command :

copy /b MyPrintFile LPT1

The switch /b is very important since forces binary transfer
of your file. Without it the plot will nor work!

Zadeva: MI Printing Large Format

Hello List,

I'm using MI 5.0 and have been recieving requests for large maps, like 24" x
36". Problem is my printer only prints 8.5" x 11". I can get to a plotter in
another department but they don't have MapInfo. My experience to date has been
to "copy (layout) window as" as a TIFF, BMP, or JPEG and then send it to a copy
place who then blows up the image. I've tried saving in a variety of images and
sizes. For example setting the layout window to 2 pages X 3 pages but the
resultant maps look terrible. Thet look like you expect an image enlared by 300%
to look.

I don't know if I'm missing something or, the print shop is missing something
but I need help. I've been able to sell GIS to our managers and have now my
phone is ringing off the hook.

Thanks in advance,
